I know how difficult is to write beautifully, but almost everyone can do it. Really. Maybe except me.
It demands only “Double P” – practice and patience. If you could find and allocate for practicing at least 15 minutes each day, at the latest after few months you will see amazing results.
But first, you have to start. And for this please read the following.
There are plenty of books on the market concerning calligraphy, and I will show you one of them. It is simple , easy to read and what is more, unbelievably easy to learn from.
Autor: Don Marsh who is a known calligrapher and graphic designer
Title: First Steps Series – Calligraphy
This a very basic guide for beginners who want to improve their handwriting. Book is divided into 4 chapters, where you can gain basic information on gear, which you will need to begin your journey with, basic pen strokes and perhaps most valuable guides among few alphabets. After this part author is presenting examples of daily usage: greetings, quotes, layouts. And at the end of the book there are some clean sheets on which you can practice what you have learned earlier.
This book is a very good, simple startup for beginers, it is a straightforward instruction with fun. If you are familiar with calligraphy, probably you will not find there anything new. But the author’s purpose was to give you the foundations for your further exploration in this area.
If, after reading this book and practicing on paper, you will find that calligraphy is something you want to improve more and more, I strongly recommend searching for workshops on calligraphy so that it could enhance your performance in much faster, efficient way but more expensive.
This book costs ca. 15,5 USD on amazon.
Book is not enough, so I will present below some instruments which will not ruin your wallet. All presented pens are quite good in performance and easy to use.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you 🙂
