Dear fountain pens users,
Fountain pen with the same look like milions of other, is not enough. Maybe not from the very beginning, but surely after some time spent with your hobby.
Individuality is what many people search in today’s unified world. This also affects fountain pens. To fullfill such demands producers issue: Limited Editions, Special Editions and so on. But if you do not have money (or do not want to pay more than for regular ones) to spend on rather high priced items, Visconti has something, that probably will give you a solution to distinguish your pen from others, among Visconti family.
Visconti has patented (in 2004) so called “My Pen System” which allows selected Visconti regular pens, for example Opera, Rembrandt, Salvador Dali, Michelangelo, Homo Sapiens, Divina, Art, Wall Street (but you have to check individually your Visconti model) to be personalised. Cap of mentioned pen has a Visconti logo on the top which could be removed with an elegant, dedicated, magnetic remover tool (really nice gadget).
There is practical bag to always have at hand, for “My Pen System”.
The logo can be replaced with two initials, zodiac symbols or natural stones.
The initials are designed in nice looking script font and can be delivered in chrome, dark grey or bronze.
The zodiacs have black background and you can choose from western (Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Acquarius, Pisces) to oriental (Mouse, Ox, Tiger, Horse, Goat, Rooster, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Monkey, Dog, Pig) coins.
The natural stones are amber, natural amethyst, cornelian, hematite, malachite, lapislazuli, tigers-eye, onyx, olive, pearl, turquoise, yellow agate.
It is a really handsome add-on to your pen. I have choosen for myself initials and zodiac sign to change between them (and Visconti logo of course) from time to time.
This system is also compatible with three additional accessories created for Visconti pen lovers like: cuff links, pins and earrings, in order to match pens with your cloathing or vice versa.
Is it worth the price? For dedicated Visconti fans for sure. It is not expensive. You do not have to buy the tool, only the coins which can be mounted in the shop and which cost approximatelly between 15 and 20 USD or 5 to 10 EUR.
